ELEVEX 2026 Brought the Industry Together Once Again in Konya
ELEVEX—the Konya Elevator and Technology Exhibition, which has become one of the most important international gatherings in the elevator and vertical transportation technologies sector—was successfully held in Konya from May 6–9, 2026.
Bringing together manufacturers, investors, contractors, engineers, project managers, exporters, government representatives, and international buyers from the industry over four days, the fair stood out as a remarkable event with its diverse profile of both participants and visitors.
Commenting on ELEVEX 2026, Özhan Şerefli, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vizyon Sectoral Exhibitions, noted that the event was strongly embraced by the industry and stated:
“We are delighted to bring our industry back together in Konya after two years. Together with our exhibitors, visitors, industry representatives, and all our stakeholders, we have organized an extremely successful event. ELEVEX 2026 surpassed the 2024 event in terms of both the number of participating companies and the number of visitors. In addition, by increasing the number of participating countries from 45 to 61, we significantly expanded our fair’s international reach. These results demonstrate that ELEVEX has been embraced by the industry and continues to grow stronger with each event.”
Şerefli emphasized that ELEVEX is not merely a trade show but has become a vital platform for showcasing the Turkish elevator industry’s manufacturing capabilities, export potential, and technological advancements to the world, noting that these results provide strong motivation for the 2028 event as well.
Today, Konya is home to hundreds of companies producing a wide range of products across the sector—from elevator cabins to control systems, from machine motors to door systems, and from rails to safety equipment. This manufacturing strength transforms ELEVEX not just into a trade show, but also into a business platform held at the very heart of the industry’s production hub.
219 companies, 8 countries, and all components of the industry came together under one roof
The ELEVEX 2026 Konya Elevator and Technology Exhibition hosted one of the industry’s most comprehensive gatherings by bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, and technology developers in the elevator and vertical transportation sector. At the event, which featured a total of 219 participating companies, 20 foreign firms from 8 different countries showcased their products and technologies to visitors.
Participants from Turkey, as well as China, Russia, the U.S., Italy, Germany, India, South Korea, and Liechtenstein, were among the key elements that strengthened ELEVEX’s international character. Throughout the fair, both domestic and international companies showcased the latest developments in elevator technologies, next-generation safety systems, control solutions, escalator technologies, energy-efficient applications, and products focused on digital transformation.
ELEVEX 2026 reached new markets: Visitors from 61 countries demonstrated the fair’s global reach
ELEVEX – the Konya Elevator and Technology Exhibition, which has become one of the international meeting points for the elevator and vertical transportation technology sector, achieved a remarkable success in 2026—not only in terms of visitor numbers but also in the diversity of countries represented. Having hosted visitors from 45 countries in 2024, the event significantly expanded its international reach in 2026 by increasing this number to 61 countries.
Of the total 27,591 visitors to the fair, 3,258 were international attendees. While the concentration of international visitors was more evenly distributed across certain countries in numerical terms, the increase in the number of countries represented demonstrated that ELEVEX had made significant progress toward its goal of reaching new markets.
More valuable than the numbers: Reaching new countries
At ELEVEX 2024, visitor traffic was primarily concentrated in traditional markets such as Egypt, China, Iraq, Iran, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Libya, France, Italy, and Kuwait. By 2026, while these strong markets were maintained, a much broader range of countries from Africa, the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Asia were included in the fair’s visitor profile.
The expansion of the international visitor network from 45 to 61 countries demonstrated that ELEVEX has increased its visibility not only in specific markets but on a global scale. According to 2026 data, Iraq was the country that sent the most visitors to the fair, with 401 attendees.
Iraq, one of the Turkish elevator industry’s most important export markets, continued to attract attention with its strong interest in ELEVEX. In particular, construction firms, investors, project developers, and representatives of elevator companies were heavily represented at the fair.
Iraq was followed by Nigeria with 301 visitors, Algeria with 208, Russia with 162, and Albania with 147, while Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Ukraine were also among the top countries on the list.
Africa emerged as the rising region at ELEVEX 2026
One of the most striking findings in the 2026 data was the increase in the number of visitors from African countries.
When examining visitor numbers from the continent, Nigeria leads with 301 attendees. African countries visiting ELEVEX for the first time in 2026 included Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, and Tanzania.
Nigeria, which was represented by only 14 visitors at ELEVEX 2024, rose to become the second-most represented country at the fair in 2026, reaching 301 visitors. This increase among African countries—particularly alongside Nigeria—demonstrates that the Sub-Saharan African market is becoming increasingly strategic for the Turkish elevator sector. In recent years, as investments in residential, infrastructure, and commercial construction have gained momentum in African countries, Turkish manufacturers have been increasingly active in these markets.
Strong participation from the Balkans and Eastern Europe
ELEVEX 2026 significantly expanded its reach in the Balkan and Eastern European markets. While visitor traffic in 2024 was concentrated primarily in countries such as Kosovo, Romania, Azerbaijan, and Russia, the diversity of participating countries in the region increased markedly by 2026.
Albania stood out with 147 visitors, while Ukraine demonstrated remarkable growth by reaching 100 visitors. While Romania maintained its strong position, the inclusion of countries such as Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Belarus, and Croatia in the visitor profile underscored ELEVEX’s expanding influence in the region.
While the number of visitors from Russia rose from 84 to 162, Ukraine recorded nearly fourfold growth. Albania’s entry into the ranks of the countries with the highest participation for the first time was also one of the key developments signaling the region’s rise.
The growing interest from investors, project managers, contractors, and procurement professionals in the region underscored that ELEVEX has become not just a trade show, but also a key trade and business development platform for the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
Growing Influence in Asia and the Gulf Region
ELEVEX 2026 expanded its international reach by reaching new countries while maintaining its strong position in the Middle East, Gulf, and Asian markets. While countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Kuwait stood out in 2024, Iraq rose to the top spot among all countries in 2026 with 401 visitors, solidifying its position as the region’s most important market.
While professional visitors from Gulf countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait continued to attend the fair, the visitor network in the region expanded to cover a broader geographic area. In particular, reconstruction and investment projects in Iraq increased interest in the Turkish elevator sector.
On the Asian front, the inclusion of new countries such as Pakistan, South Korea, Afghanistan, and Indonesia in the visitor profile—alongside traditional markets like China, India, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan—was particularly notable. This development demonstrated that ELEVEX has increased its visibility not only in existing markets but also in new Asian markets with high growth potential.
With strong interest from the Turkic Republics and Gulf countries, ELEVEX 2026 once again demonstrated that it is a key international trade platform supporting the Turkish elevator industry’s export potential in the Middle East and Asia.
Interest from Europe Continues
While maintaining its influence in the European market, ELEVEX 2026 succeeded in expanding its visitor profile to a broader geographic area. While visitor traffic in 2024 was concentrated primarily in Western European countries such as France and Italy, participation from the Balkans and Eastern Europe increased significantly in 2026.
In particular, the rise in visitor numbers from Russia—from 84 to 162—and from Ukraine—from 21 to 100—demonstrated growing interest in ELEVEX within the Eastern European market. Albania stood out with 147 visitors, and the stronger representation of countries such as Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Croatia also highlighted the expanding reach in the Balkans.
While visitor numbers from Western Europe declined in certain countries, the diversity of countries across Europe as a whole increased. The more visible inclusion of countries such as the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and Belarus in the visitor profile demonstrated that ELEVEX’s recognition in Europe has spread to a wider audience.
ELEVEX is no longer just a regional trade show
The fact that ELEVEX, which hosted visitors from 45 countries in 2024, has reached 61 countries in just two years clearly demonstrates the rise in the organization’s international brand value.
Although the distribution of international visitor traffic was more balanced compared to previous years, the fact that industry professionals from a much wider range of countries attended the fair is seen as a strong indicator of the Turkish elevator industry’s expansion into new markets.
The results of ELEVEX 2026 reveal that the event has evolved into a global trade and business development platform that now encompasses not only Turkey, the Middle East, and North Africa but also the Balkans, Eastern Europe, the Turkic Republics, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asian markets.
With visitors from 61 countries, ELEVEX 2026 not only connected Konya’s manufacturing capabilities with global markets but also continued to make a significant contribution to the Turkish elevator industry’s international growth goals.
A gathering that inspires the elevator professionals of the future
ELEVEX 2026 brought together not only industry professionals but also the future representatives of the sector in Konya. Students from Seydişehir Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Ahi Evran Vocational High School, among the schools visiting the fair, had the opportunity to examine all stages of the industry firsthand—from production to installation, and from component manufacturing to new technologies.
Alaaddin Erdoğan, a teacher at Seydişehir Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School who attended the fair with his students, noted that ELEVEX offered an important experience for young people and said the following:
"It is of great importance for our students to see all the processes of the industry, from production to assembly, firsthand. Seeing how the information taught in the classroom is applied in the field makes a significant contribution to their professional development. For our students who are just starting out in their careers, ELEVEX was an extremely educational and motivating event.”
Throughout the fair, many students met with leading manufacturers in the industry for the first time, while also having the opportunity to closely examine the technologies used and network with industry professionals. In this regard, ELEVEX 2026 stood out not only as an event where trade and business partnerships are fostered, but also as a vital platform that contributes to the development of the industry’s future workforce.
